Has anyone else had the problem of virtual DJ sporadically pausing/ Stopping and starting songs and know how to fix it?

That usually buffer underrun
- meaning that VDJ can't get the continues resources to send audio to the sound card in time (it's all low latency, so any little delay can cause it)
You generally fix it by optimizing your laptop - or maybe by accepting a bit more latency

If you're running a M1 or M2 Mac its a known issue that is resolved by turning off wifi.
I also previously had it when my MacBook battery was beginning to fail on an older laptop. Even while plugged in the battery still provides extra power to allow everything to run so when they get below a certain capacity retention they will lag and freeze at random
