Tema: Rane Performer "Issues" - Page: 1
Hi, why when I press Cue button the jogwheel motor starts to work? It is suppose that it has to work when you press play button. On the other hand, If you configure loop adjust for looping as Serato do it, the waveform does not stop and it makes difficult to adjust the loop. Is there anyway to fix this 2 "issues"?

No body can solve this? When I load a track if I push CUE boton the motor start to turn, and there is another issue, If you load a song on channel 1 with fader down and you have another song on channel 3 with fader up, the song on channel 3 stop itself... I don't understand this issues... I'm paying a pro license and it is imposible to make a session without issues.

That behavior does seem a bit odd to me on load. The mapping of the button is based on cue_stop:

cue_stop & set 'cuestop' 1 whilepressed


Play/Pause also references that variable

play_pause & set 'cuestop' 


I just tried using those mappings on a pad controller with cueMode = cue and it seems to work as expected (I don't own the controller/have the controller on hand personally to teat it there.


  • What version of VirtualDJ are you using?
  • Did you do any remapping of those buttons, or do you have any special mapping for ONSONGLOAD for that controller of the keyboard?


Just reasonable questions to ask about the situation. It might actually be a bug (the devs probably have more to say on this).

Thank you for your support. I have the last version available 8462.2119 (I have activated early updates). It happens from the beginning, I have been using factory default mapping and happens the same.

The mapping for cue button on factory default is:

cue_stop & set 'cuestop' 1 while_pressed

I have no special mapping ONSONGLOAD. Please, could you elevate the case to dev team? If you need that I test anything, just tell me.

What is the problem you are having exactly when the motor starts when pressing cue btw?

It is not just to start, the problem is the motor starts and the song starts too as if I had pressed play... have you seen the video? To solve this, I have to press play (then vdj understand properly the song is playing) and reset the cue. When I load a song a this happens in a middle of a session... is not the best way to have a decent session.

I just checked, and the CUE button on the Performer doesnt start the motor, until you press the PLAY button.

In your Account Stats, we see ..
Mapper: RNPERF=Rane Performer - Mapeo Personalizado:
so please double-check in Settings->CONTROLLER if the Performer is using the "Factory default" Mapping

If this is still an issue, perhaps it's some setting that cant tell at the moment , so try to Reset from OPTIONS tab of Settings and check again.

Hi DJDAD, I deleted my custom mapping and I reset Options from tab settings... the same happens. Please, you can check this on the link below, I recorded a new video.

Thats weird.
And what you show in your video is the behavior right after the 1st Trak is loaded to a Deck , without anything else enabled/pressed etc ?

EDIt.. OK, i see, it happens on the first Track you load on the Deck, but then the next loaded Tracks work fine ?

Yes it is like that, the first track I load make it happens and there is another casuistry that make it happens too, but I couldn't simulate the issue again, I think it is something strange when you leave the track to finish itself with stem split activated or something like that... But I'm not sure about this casuistry. Maybe if you could repair the first issue, the last I mentioned will not occur anymore.

Hi! Thank you so much for your support! Now it works perfect. I will test it deeper later but I think now it is fixed.

Hi, after test it during yesterday I can conclude it is fixed. Are you going to make that change on factory default mapping?
