Long time dj, used 7.4 but mainly Serato.
My virtual dj 8 when using the 7 skin won't show me the vertical wave files.

Pc is all updated, more than strong enough 32 gigs ram with 1.7 quad core. Windows ten.

The waves work on other skins, not your 7

I've tried different resolutions, another laptop still not showing waves. Just black.

It's not big deal, but I'd like to have it working eventually.

What skin exactly are you referring to and what build of VDJ are you using?

Have you tried the default sklin?
 
v7 skins are at least 11 years out of date, stuff has changed in the skin engine particularly with the 2018 update.
 
Thank you for your time, it's appreciated. The skin was included with other skins in which could be downloaded from this here.

I'm more curious on how to fix it, like a challenge :)

I'll chose another, but I really like that one especially for my Karaoke gig.

Virtual dj is a great option. Thank you for having me.

Honestly it would be easier to create a new skin from scratch, than "fix" the old V7 skin.

My advice: Abandon v7 skin & get used to the latest official skin.
Trying to use a V7 skin on VitualDJ 2025 is like trying to do a "LS swap" on a Ford Model T1..
