Hi All,
I've been running VDJ Pro (subscription) Win 10 2024 b8056 happily for some time now.
I will be the first to admit that I've been living dangerously.
While my music library is safe on a NAS, my system drive has been precariously full for some time.
Today when I went to log in, it appears that my user profile has been lost.
It asked me to login, re-detects my hardware, and all my performance prefs and customizations are gone.
So I cleared some space on my system drive, made some custom adjustments, and exited, only to find that it is still starting over with a blank slate again as above, every time I log in, repeating the above process.
How may I find whatever has been corrupted so I can get back to fun?
Not an emergency, I'm a hobbyist at this point. But help and insight would be appreciated, all the same.
thanks...
Alex

First thing you need to know is the Homefolder of VirtualDJ.
Click on the small cog-icon as shown here .. https://www.virtualdj.com/img/370573/29893/Options.png and then make sure the folder that opens up has Write permissions.
If this folder is not the one that has your previous custom mappings, samples, etc, you could copy there some backup of VirtualDJ home folder and restart VirtualDJ.

Thanks for the tip. Indeed that folder was set to Read Only.
I've adjusted it and that seems to allow me to go forward.
Now I know how to back up my config as well.
Thanks for that!
