Tópico: Seems Spotify are back in the DJ game!

Yes, I was just about to post this! I just saw a post and couldn't quite believe it. Had to check if they were referencing some old outdated info - but no.

Digital DJ Tips have posted that Spotify is back in Serato, Rekordbox and Djay Pro.
 
I'm currently using Apple music and have to send from my phone to a Logitech bluetooth adapter connected to my controller. No sign of that on VDJ either.
 
So the big question is of course if and when Spotify will be available in VDJ?
 
 
No doubt it's a great way for collecting metadata to feed their algorithms too.
 
I also came here to post this aswel!!

As much as i enjoy using Deezer to stream having Spotify would be a game changer as i find most playlist i get sent are on Spotify and it would aviod the need to convert the playlists.

Seems you will need to subscribe to Spotify Premium to use it but their pricing model doesnt seem to bad tbh.

Let's hope for the VDJ intergration soon.
 
Just noticed for Serato they are not allowing Stems via Spotify..... that may be a deal breaker

Click the Spotify Logo in the search bar to browse the full Spotify catalog alongside your local files. Stream, cue, and mix instantly. (Note: no offline storage, Stems, or playlist creation in Serato.)
 
No playlist creation? Not such a big issue really, as I generally either use existing playlists on the service, or create them using their own interface.
 
Please VDJ make Spotify work with Stems, I'd love you forever <3
 
It doesn't look like stems and cache are going to be an option for Spotify.

First no Apple music, now no Spotify.

Obviously we all know streaming tracks are not a reliable option, but where this could of some concern is for new hobbyists and or beginner DJs. If the other Big 3 support more popular streaming options than VDJ, they overlook it and choose another option. New or future users may perceive this as VDJ being lesser of a product.

At the end of the day, anyone who has used VDJ for any length of time knows this is not the case, but i feel it can further create a perception problem for anyone not as familiar or just starting out.
