Hi guys,
I mentioned this before it was attributed to Windows. But maybe it's not windows
[15:37:26] Thread videoDecoder freezed.
[15:38:16] Thread Song freezed.
I have several i7 machines all running in bars playing video, each one has the exact same setup. One machine and only one installed in July gives constant problems, random freezes, stopped audio and video and white screen. Ctrl-alt-del doesn't work and if it does it won't open the processes tab.
The "VirtualDJ is not responding" pops up sometimes, "Close or wait for the program to respond." Closing the program and re-opening without restarting windows fixes the problem, but we don't know for how long. Today it's been running since I think 3:45pm and still going well at of 12:30 Paris time.
Previous advice was to reinstall all audio and video drivers, done and updates as far as is possible, that did seem to help but the problem has begun to rear it's ugly head again.
The fact that it works perfectly after a VDJ shutdown and restart without a reboot of Windows suggests that it could be VDJ, but I can't figure out how that could be possible when the other machines are absolutely fine and have never crashed.
Any ideas anyone? My only plan from here is to swap it out and use it for an office PC, but it is rather far away so if I can fix it I will.
Thanks folks
M

Since it's the video decoder, it could also be the gpu or gpu drivers.
If your cpu is fast enough, you could try disabling useDxva to confirm

Thank you! I've done that now and we'll see what happens.

I used to get video freezing on my 2019 Lenovo laptop which has i7 with on board graphics and disabling dxva completely solved it for me.
