Hello VDJ Forum,
I'd like to switch from Traktor to VDJ. I always use generic MIDI controllers like the Novation Zero or a small M-Vave SMC. I initially tried the free version for testing. I had no luck with the mapping process. I can map everything in the mapping window, but nothing happens in the program. Then I subscribed to the Home version, for whatever reason. I only found out later about the 10-minute trial period in the free version. Before I upgrade to the Pro version, I wanted to ask what the problem might be?

The problem is you need a Pro Licence for Generic controller mapping introduction/changes (your Home Licence is associated with one specific Controller, that is pre-mapped/configured by the Atomix team).
See the Controllers Section of the VirtualDJ user manual that gives that detail.
The controllers that can be used with a Home licence can be found Here - purchase of that licence only allows the controller you select for the licence I think.
