I was playing from an automix list on deck one and the volume was good, as soon as I loaded a track onto deck two (to preview) track one volume dropped significantly, i went through the auto gain settings and all were as should be. Any ideas what may have caused this so I can prevent it from happening again.

Wrong audio settings.
Both "master" and "headphones" channels were using the same soundcard channels (they shouldn't)
