Hello,
I’m trying to use a 2-deck controller (RX3) to control 4 decks in total. For this, I want to create a custom button that switches between Deck 1 and 3 on the left side, and Deck 2 and 4 on the right side.
When switching, all controls should follow the selected deck — especially the EQs, jog wheels, and transport controls (Play/Pause, Cue, etc.). Right now, I found this script:
device_side 'left' ? deck left invert_deck : deck right invert_deck
However, this only changes the deck indication inside VirtualDJ. The Play button, for example, still controls Deck 1 instead of switching to Deck 3.
How do I need to adjust the mapping so that the hardware controls are fully reassigned to the selected deck as well?
And if anyone asks why I’m not using a dedicated 4-deck controller: I don’t own one. I started DJing with the RX3, and I’d prefer to keep using it instead of upgrading to a different controller.

Holy shit, I love VirtualDJ. Everything already works out of the box.
There is a small button on my controller’s touchscreen that switches between Deck 1/3 and Deck 2/4. I just wish I could map that exact function to a physical button instead of having to use the touchscreen.
