Virtual DJ should have a text box area where you can write down your announcements or put a list of songs, like a do-not-play playlist, or just a little text box area off to the side so that you can click on it and see, for example, if you have a wedding and they want you to add an announcement, you could just type it and keep everything right there in Virtual DJ and keep DJing without having to go to an outside document. We like the sample and the side list. That should be like a little memo that you can click, and then the memo pad kind of comes to the left, and you can hide the memo pad so you could put your timeline, your event timeline, or your announcement in there, and then kind of say it while you're looking at the DJ software and being able to DJ. Also, you could put a do-not-play playlist in there.

there's a dedicated page for asking for new things:
https://virtualdj.com/forums/18/Wishes_and_new_features.html
but i'm old school and like more control over what i'm doing
i just use larger monitors with notepad open on the side with listings for
Happy Birthday ___________
Happy Anniversary__________
Congratulations __________
etc, so i can copy and paste the names in. Notepad takes up almost no CPU usage and serves its purpose without having to mess with the software while it's going what its supposed without adding more complexity, and i can just save it as a permanent file on the desktop that is easily changeable on the fly.
and if worst comes to worst - an actual notepad on the back counter served quite handily too
