I just paid .99 and downloaded a WMA file from MSN. I know on the older versions of VDJ, they would not play these purchased files. It is playing fine right now. Will this last, or will this not work when I am not hooked up to an internet connection. Please advise. It would be great if this would continue to work this easily.

It is a new function and not a fluke. You have to play each of your files for a few seconds in Windows Media Player or some other program at least once a month for it to work in VDJ at a gig when you are not online.
Understand that there are some problems with VDJ crashing when you are playing DRM files, especially several in a row. They are working on it.

I like to edit my songs (usually to remove explicit content) and to do this I have to burn the song onto a CD and then rip it back into the computer before editing.

My recommendation, rip your own CDs and create your own mp3 files. No DRM and the files will always work.
