OK, so I am THE ONLY person using it. I want it on 3 computers. Does that mean I DL it to all 3 and use an activation key?

You download it one time from the VDJ site to one of the pc's. Then you copy and install it on all the other pc's using the same serial number.
The Eula states that it is a personal licence so if you are the only user it is allowed.
