well actually this BUG has been there in a long time (if it's not my computer it's somethong wrong with)
In my case... I was searching for Don't Cha Remix...
I searched for "cha" and the orginal Don't Cha song cames up (and all other songs that had the same letters in their titles).., But I couldn't find the remix there, the song I was looking for...
so, I went into the folder where I had the remix... and found it there... (the folder is in the database, and the song should be there too) the title was "Don't cha remix" .. .. .. ???
it has happend to me many times with diffrent songs... why??

Do you update your drives regularly?
What you could test is this:
- Update the drives where your music files are located
- Try to find the song. If it isn't popping up, open the text file which is used during search (vdj installation folder->mp3database.txt)
- Search in this text file if the song is there (using Edit->Find)
