Tema: Questions about soundcards and time coded vinyls

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

I checked around and couldn't really find any straightforward answers for these questions. If anyone is willing to help, it would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a set of turntables in hopes of using them with virtual dj, there aren't any record stores at all around here.

I currently have one sound card but I could get a second for cheap, possibly an ASIO one instead of a second. As I understand, it looks like two soundcards or an ASIO card to get it to work. Would it be possible to just use the mixer output instead of having the two turntables plugged into the two soundcards? Also, how does the crossfader/pitch/whatever on the mixer work if there are just cables for the two turntables?

I guess my real question is: Is it possible to use VDJ/TCV's by using the mixer output and one soundcard?

Thankyou for your time.

For your first words...

To answer your question, NO, You NEED an ASIO soundcard with 2 STEREO LINE INPUTS (like the maya 44 USB or M-Audio Delta 44 PCI or M-Audio FireWire 1814 or Creative X-Fi Platinum) to get VDJ working as it should. Other options are for non profesional use and are not recomended at all... only as a last resourse... (ASIO4ALL for example).

The soundcard is not for just taking the uncoming sound, is to READ the current TCV signal in each LINE Input.ok?

These work with VDJ Pro http://www.virtualdj.com/swreg/purchase.html
