is preamplifier needed to play normal vinyls via maya 44usb connected with pc and mixer? is it generaly needed? what is deferent between playing normal vinyl and tcv?

well that all depends on what kind of decks your using.

Digital decks like the new Gemini and Stanton as well as the Numark decks do not require the pre-amp since there is one built in although decks like Technics still require the pre-amp.

Regardless though VDJ has a built in pre-amp which you can use and play regular vinyl through VDJ or split your decks to your soundcard AND mixer so all you need to do is flip the switch from Line to Phono and play a normal vinyl.

ok. thx but i have one more question. Is timecode recognized and does it work correct when turntable is connect to soundcard without preamplifier?

Yes the timecode signal is recognized when turntable is connected without preamplifier.

As i already said above, vdj has a RIAA amplifier function if ever you didn't use a preamplifier between the turntable and the soundcard.

If you are going to use TCV and Real Vinyl is better to use an splitter and use the Mixer Phono inputs to play the ral vinyls (the sound is better). If You only are going to use TCVs, you can use the turntables directly connected to your soundcard inputs.
