I'm fairly new to this video mixing thing, in the past I've played the occasional music video on the big screen in the club just using a laptop running the DIVX player.

In the player, these videos look and sound fine, but the same file played through VDJ has very poor sound quality, sounds more like a 96kbs-encoded mp3. Searching through the forums, there is apparently an issue when playing VOBs that were encoded at 48Khz rather than the CD standard 44. I only use DIVX and XVID videos though (haven't got that kind of hard disk space!), and during the encoding process I've always set the audio stream as CBR MP3 at at least 160Kbs, using AutoGordianKnot to take care of the process. As I said, this gives very good quality in the DIVX player, but not in VDJ. Can I fix this, or do all Divx's & Xvids sound nasty in VDJ?
