Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hi...

Can somebody tell me what are the best settings for ASIO mode
with the DJ Console Mk2?

(also a small explanation about the difference of the buffer size
or the rates would help!)

TIA

Best buffer size is computer specific, I've got mine to work at a buffer of 441 at sampling rate 44.1kHz which is the best performance you can get with this card and virtualdj (VirtualDJ doesn't operate at 48khz without problems).

The buffer size is related to latency, i.e. how long it takes for your actions to have an effect. If the buffer is 882 and you're running at 44.1kHz you would divide 882 by 44.1 to get the latency.

Buffer Size
------------ = Latency
Sample Rate

You want the smallest buffer size possible with the no pops and clicks.

Note: If you're not using timecoded vinyl you're better of using wdm.

thanks a lot for your great infos Andrew... you solved most of my doubts!!!

I don't have TCV so why is it better WDM?

I'm not sure of the specifics behind it sorry. WDM is a newer technology than ASIO and I've found it to be more stable on my system, ASIO can be a bit tempermental. Virtual DJ requires ASIO for timecoded vinyl which is the only time that I use it. There are a few people across the boards with a better technical understanding of it, perhaps they can fill us both in.

Overall I think WDM give better (lower) latency with more tolerance (less crackling), this should give more stability.
