increase your needle pressure, apply antiskate pressure as needed, mine also skiped quite easily for a while.

also recalibrate your tonearms to make sure you havnt messed them up acidentaly

Also how new are your needles?

ABOUT 6 MONTHS OLD

Are the holes in the records to big? If you can jiggle them slightly, it is. Try attaching a small piece of masking tape or similar through the hole to keep the record from sideways movement.

It does sound strange that they are "jumping all over"... May simply be bad prints. As for breaking them in, to my knowledge records are never better then when they are brand spanking new.

Anyway, how are the new TCV's? Are they louder? Are the grooves deeper og shallower?

Try a newer stylus..maybe yours is worn down

THE GROOVES ARE SHALLOWER

that sucks, are you sure its that? im sure VDJ would be more careful chosing new TCV, if its good enough for Numark its good enough for me. are the VDJ v2 TCVs the same as the Numark ones? if not just get a pair of Virtual Vinyl ones

A quarter might be a little overboard I remember using nickles ...but i guess it goes up with Gas Prices

Yeah I recently brought new timecoded vinyls.. but they are badly bent from shipping id guess.. Is there any way id be able to replace them or... because it cost me a hundred and something aussie dollars to get them over here due to shipping costs and what not and id say they just arent acceptable :-(

whats up man,

i used to dj with the hercules rmx but now i wanna get into turntables and so i need some help setting up my equipment.

i just wanted to know how do you set up the turntable weights and the antiskates.

i mostly beat mix hip hop music but would like to start scratching into my mixes, not extensively though,

this is what i use for my equipment:

virtual dj pro 5.2.1
numark ttx tts
numark cc1 cartridges
numark ppd01 for a mixer
hercules rmx for a soundcard
ssl2 tcvs

ANY ADVICE AND SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME AND HIGHLY APPRECIATED! THANKS so much!
