That's because you are using the native built in support for VDJ using the DAC 3. The functionality is completely different between the default mapper and Boggis's mapper.
The DAC 3 is actually made for PCDJ, hence the difference in functionality as well.

Yeah, basically, if you buy the full version of Virtual DJ, you can download a plugin (JPBoggis mapper) to give lots more functinality to the DAC.

you can aslo buy virtual dj on cd under the name of Numark Cue at most dj shops now :)
make sure it is an offical sealed box copy from a retuable dealer.
