Some good mentions on this thread, thanks guys.

As for me ... The DJ was Jon "OO" Fleming, the time was 1996-1997. For a few months he kept playing a tune once or twice each night. Heard every remix of it that has ever been made (literally, all versions) but the version l heard ... never really existed?

The most beautiful chorus imaginable, and l probably imagined it all.

And again, once, l was stuck in a bar, and a song came on, it had no lyrics, just a piano, but the chorus (octave-stacked notes) took me into another world. Shame, l'll never know its name (was too embarrassed to ask). It sounded like the chorus of Belinda Carlisle's "Live your life, be free" but with zero lyrics.

I think l'm glad l never found out the song names?

Plenty of results from Google on that one.

Yes, but finding the full track is another story. The Pegboard Nerds management is the strictest I've seen. They've had YouTube videos on unreleased songs (and whole channels for that matter) removed same day (and sometimes sooner).

I haven't searched it recently (within the week). Maybe a SoundCloud upload is floating around.

EDIT: I stand corrected for the time being. This was uploaded today. Let's see how fast it gets removed.

Not only is it uploaded today, it appears to be the only upload. And the full track has been floating around for quite some time now. It's just a matter of who's faster: PBN management, or anything2mp3 :)

I think it depends really on genre,

For EDM: Roll The Bass - Major Lazer (I like the bass boosted version by Tiger Bass Boosted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slPmWJkcDZw)
For House: Overdrive (Gecko) - Oliver Heldens & Becky Hill

A hella good song to mix is Ready Or Not (The Fugees)
