if you want to use VDJ with your turntables and mixer you would require a soundcard with 2 stereo ins and 2 stereo outs like the ESI u46DJ soundcard.
As far as installing the software it should come as an exe file so its an easy install. just double click the install icon and follow the on screen instructions. If your using a friend's copy that is illegal and you should try the demo version out or purchase the software.
