so i bought my friends whole system from him since he needs money for a house...but he as VDJ 4.2 and i am used to working on VDJ 3.4...ok so How do i lock the beat match? i know on 3.4 you just right click it and it stay's light....i need the most help about that. and how do i set it so i will get the BEST audio quality and speed with using my MK2? when i move the volume knobs and pitch i get static like noices in my head phones and also when i have my headphones on mix it is ok BUT when i out it on A or B i get NO sound from my head phones...i am very confuzed an now geting frustrated can some one PLEASE HELP ME FAST i have to so a school dance tonight...please help me.

unfortunately he cant dirrectly sell you his licence acording to the eula
so you should buy a new copy of 4.2 or use 3.4
you could try to ask to move his purchase to your acount

Here's a tip. Never, ever, change anything, just before a gig. If 3.4 is working for you, use it. You clients should not be beta testers, for you and some new software, that you can't use.

Yeah, you only have to learn once that last minute changes are big no-noes!
And beatlock was always something i disliked, i like being in manual control of syncs and everything cause the lock feature used to crap out when the bass spike didnt match the beat grid :/
I suggest you practice doing it manually cause its a lot better in my opinion

A Man... I think the guy said he was USED to using 3.4 but he got the system from his friend who was using 4.2r1.

I would not use anything that has more then two buttons on it, if I just got it today. Learning how to use equipment, on the job is a no no.

Ok well...i ended up using my 3.4 and i still have not found out how to use beat match on 4.2 and i got evreything else figured out and what are the lock things???? the keylocks?! and what are the other things that are on 4.2 that are not on 3.4???....and how do i use the video thing? how do i put videos? just drag a clip in the deck and play?

Your "friend" has given you a cracked version, actually 2 cracked versions, a 4.1 and a 4.3 version.
Everyone you see here as a pro version user has had to purchase the software including the Teamers, I own 2.
So please respect them and the developer of this fine program and get yourself a legit copy if you like it enough to use it to the fullest extent.
You actually get a discount for being a MK user.
The terms of use prohibit users from transferring ownership under any circumstances.
The Pro version comes with a detailed user guide that will answer all of your questions also.
