Never done that cos i using turntables, mk2 n external mixer. but I think the best u could do is scratch from the mouse itself. Go to the virtual decks n scratch it. holla , there u go:)

i think what aphaquake is trying to say is that the keyboard can't be used for scratching, but like your first reply said, you can use the mouse.

In the latest demo version, you just press down the left mouse button over the deck then move the mouse backwards and forwards while keeping the button pressed down, when you want the music to continue, just let go of the mouse button.

Easy as that, but for best results you really need some kind of DJing hardware (like a midi controller or timecoded vinyls).

i scratch way better with hte mouse
here's how
i set 3 cue points with letters---f,g and h
i scratch, release the scratch and hit the letter
this actually scrathes way better than with skill--especially on acapellas

Scratch:

D (scratch -120ms)
F (cue_stop)
G (scratch +120ms)

Without the parentheses

Go to Settings, Controllers, type in the Key section: D, then under it type into the Action section: scratch -120ms, it should create a custom mapping if you're on the default factory so it won't ruin anything. Save each one and repeat, then test it out. You'll need to practice for hours and it's fun. Also, VDJ2018 has Scratch DNA, I feel both of these combos work well.
