Tópico: Use of Virtual Dj and BCD2000 with MICROPHONE

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hi, all!
Going to test some Djing software for wedding and parties I have found this Program VDJ that seems great!
I have used for years another program but now I have seen the use of timecoded vinyls on VDJ so I am thinking to buy it.
However I cannot use the MIC on BCD2000 during the use of the program.
I think it is an essential thing the use of the mic, expecially for gigs and weddings, so i have tried to plug the mic in, the clip led goes on, but nothing comes out from the audio card of bcd2000.
Have tried to modify the BCD2000 tray applet to set it to MIC but nothing,
with the Win XP hardware TEST everything goes right I can hear my voice.
I cannot control from windows the volume of the MIC because the controls are shaded, either REC than PLAY.
So what I have to do?
Some internal configuration of VDJ?

Help me please. I am one step behind the buy of this program and the timecoded vinyls, but if I cannot speak into the mike the program is for me useless.

I am using version 4.1 demo mode. Do you think it is this the problem?
Regards

Steve

Is well known that bcd2000 has problems with the mic except with its own software called B-BDJ, for that reason behringer released the bcd3000 and is supposed that most problems that bcd2000 had have been solved.

Yes I know but the B-Dj is buggish, crashes every 5 secs. and is literally C.R.A.P.!

With this aswer you mean that the use of the mic is not possible with BCD2000 and VDJ?

Regards

VDJ only works with microphone inputs that are recognised by Windows, in other words use Windows for this.

That works well for almost any soundcard out there, but not the BCD2000 as Behringer decided to make a really weird solution where the mic goes into line-in at the console, in asio mode..

Sorry about that, but as of now, VDJ hasnt added a special code just for that consoles mic weirdness.

And as far as I know, the Behringer drivers dont allow the mic in WDM mode, as is normal for soundcards.

So I dont think you can use the mic with VDJ no..

If you have another soundcard on your PC as well, you can use that soundcards mic input with VDJ (setting it to default mic in windows), and use the BCD2000 for output only (setting it as default output souncard in windows). That "work around" should work.

is it possible ton include a special code for bcd2000 in vdj to make microphone inputs working in asio mode ?

I had a 1.09 vdj with a djconsole user, now i have the bcd2000 and i want to buy vdj because i prefere vdj to traktor.

But i want the same fonctionnality !!! please upgrade vdj or give me another solution for asio.

Is possible to make the mic work, but you have to modify the hardware.

u right tanzi the mic do work very well with orther dj software

Sorry if not well understood use a translator that is not much to do English.
About the BCD2000 I achieved running the microphone modifying the hardware is relatively easy I described the procedure in the Spanish area of this forum.
I believe not funicona directly with the software that uses VDJ entries which is purely for the time code signal is not so complicated that serious reprogramarlas bouncey castle to select the time code input and analogue audio input.
Good anyway use my own means to not leave the VDJ.
Chau lucky not forget this in the forum in Spanish.

So is it possible for vdj (to write code allowing vdj to use the mic as tractor and B-dj do) i have a B-2000 in the drawer gathering dust
still hoping B-2000 will be supported 100%.....or will this never happen ?????
VDJ is my program of choice, so changing programs is not an option...

FOR USE BCD 2000 + VIRTUAL DJ WITH MICROPHONE FOLLOW:

INSTALL VDJ 7.4 PRO FULL

OPEN VDJ
ENTER IN SETTINGS MODE
IN SOUND SETUP SELECT:
INPUTS: MICROPHONE (IMAGE OF LAPTOP + MIC)
OUTPUTS: HEADPHONES (MASTER: CHAN 1&2 / HEADPHONES: 3&4)
SOUND CARD: BCD2000

CLICK APPLY

CLICK OK

CLICK ON AIR IN BCD PUMP THE VOLUME MIC LEVEL AND TRY.

:)

I would think after 6 years this Thread is no more relevant.
