any idea why the window media player 9 wont play on rip music or songs? just bought the lap top 3 weeks ago and i even download the window player 9 on their site and also download the window media player 10 and still dont play on rip music any suggestion how fix this problem?

I don't know too many people who uses WMPlayer. A lot a people don't like it for many reasons... I believe also that LAME Mp3 is still the best compressed format after all these years.
Personally I prefer ripping and playing music with winamp. Although, that's when I'm too lazy to play the music through VDJ.

try some other player (other then M$ players!)
all M$ players check if the wma has the copy-bit has been set. i'm not sure if other players do that as well.
i really hate everything about M$ yuck!
