I just bought a new PC that will be rack mounted (custom case) for use it with VDJ.
I have not purchased VDJ yet, because I have no external control yet (Not decided if VCI-100, HC-4500 or DCM2), have to wait to see reviews of real users when native support of three of them get relased.
My current system is
Core Duo 2.66 mhz, 4 mb cache
Intel DG33FB motherboard
4GB RAM
1 SATA WD 500Gb HD (will add 3 more next month just for HQ videos that have to rip from DVDs)
Im using the internal VGA card, that is sweet, but want to add a real graphics card just for VDJ.
My questions are:
1) Will work fine VDJ with XP x64 ?
2) Will work fine the controllers listed with x64 ?
3) Is there a lot of difference in performace between XP 32 bit and XP 64 bit for overall use ?
4) What video card do you recommend me it a $200 budget
5) What video capture device do you recommend me for VHS to DVD and VideoCAM to DVD with another $200 budget)
6) Or better yet an ATI ALL IN WONDER (video card with video capture device for no more than $400)?
I have a coupon with a rebate of winXP 64, and if it worth it I´ll buy it.
Thanks for your comments.

XP 64 is not a good move... most audio devices don't have stable 64 drivers, and.. you'll gain nothing other than heartache... I used the xp 64 bit for like a month and ditched it... problems problems problems...
and don't even think about vista 64 bit...
jesus,.. you think vista 32 is bad with drivers... I don't think there's a 64 bit driver for anything yet...

Thanks Steve for your advice, maybe I should use X64 on my personal PC for video editing, and XP 32 for the PC with VDJ.
