I have the first one its ok I don't want anything more expensive as it's for karaoke, It has a mixed XLR on the back so that you have one lead from the back of the unit to your mixer and then both mics work of one channel saves messing around with two sets of eq's, there is a bit of feedback when the two mics come together however iv fitted a FBX 2400 fedback destroyer I have not tested it yet I'll keep you posted.

This might cost a little much but it is "pro" in every way. You get what you pay for with wireless...

The Sennheiser EW135 G2 system has tons of available frequencies and the needed features you will ever need. The mics are awesome sounding and they use "AA" instead of the costly 9 volt. THe three systems I own has never failed me for DJ and live band use in the past three years.

They sell adapters to move the antenas to the front next to the receiver.

What ever you decide, my advice is you don't go cheap! Buddy of mine crashed and burned on a Nady (Crap) system in front of 3000 people with his bass setup... tried to warn him to go hard wire but he did not listen - very ugly!

Hope I could help!

I was disappointed with Sennheiser radio mics as they are made in China, I bought one and the switch broke the first time I used it from just taking it out of the box. I do use Sennheiser lead mics as they are made in Germany still however a recent test I did between the SM 58 and the E35 favoured the 58 in the blind fold test with 17 people so I'm going to Shure with the lead mics and cheap with the radio mics as there only for karaoke use and not my own. Also I found out the Senn mics are knows as female vocal mics in the industry.

I am surprised you rate them.

What about Shure microphones? They are real good.

I use Shure PGX series radio mic. I have an SM58 head, it uses the AA batteries. Antennae are on the front, its UHF, you can get a rackmount kit and it will scan for channels so no interferences.

All in all its a really good set up. I've been using it a couple of years now, no damage and it still looks new after using it 4 nights a week.

Also comes in its own sturdy flightcase.

I use the same mic. I've had it for 2 years and it's like new. It also produces a good sound for my type of voice ( its a keeper for me )

Charlie,

I have never used the (Cheap) Sennheiser wireless so I can't comment.

I do notice the majority of acts coming through here usually gives me some type of Sennie wireless being instrumental or vocal to plug in the sound system. Yes, the very last Sennie vocal mic was fom a girl out of LA... (your chick mic reference)

Most of the musicians that have not used the Sennheiser would prefer a Shure 58 (It still is the standard). Never has a complaint and some have even converted over to the Sennie after using it on stage (the difference they can hear in the monitors). I use the 135 module and I think it is really smooth and not quite as "industrial" as a 58. This is all personal preference at this point, so...

...try the mic before you buy and DON'T BUY CHEAP!!!

thanks you all well i guess that does it to the idea of vocopro, ive had a shure mic for many many years and gone though a few cables but the mic has lasted as perfect as could be i think ill have to look at the shures and try to convince the wife to let me get it ( its always a battle to even get a new wifes and stuff)
but i have used a gemini dual wireless for many years and it sounded really good (suprizingly) but it finally gave out so its time to upgrade i guess
so thanks you all for your input it has kept me away form a bad choice.
