TECHNICS SL-1200 MK2- I have a pair of Technic 1200 Direct Drive MK2 (The old version). A Numark DM2002x mixer and a pair of needles, and mats. I also have amassed ~600 records (Atleast) of house / trance/ techno from my younger years (Records collected from 1998 to 2003). Send a message to the link for a more complete list of records. All the records are in good condition. Mainly the records are 25% trance. 50% house. 25% techno/tech/DnB/hiphop and whites. I will be willing to sell the records seperate, but not the tables, as I want the records gone first. Here is the trance list atleast.

the 1200s and the 1200 m3d are pretty much the same but slightly diiferent. First of all, the Sl-12000 M3D has a sunken power on/off switch. The reason for this is that some DJ's complained that the power switch on the Sl-1200 MKII would occasionally be pushed when doing movement intense DJing such as scratching and beat juggling. Another difference comes in the reset button next to the pitch control. This feature allows the pitch to be reset back to 0 when the button is pressed. For example, if your at +3% and you hit the button, the pitch will return to zero. When the button is pressed again the pitch will automatically return to +3% (if the pitch had not been changed since then).
this is the only difference. If it were me, i would get the the one for 525 because i like having the new stuff. By the way, tell him you have 500 bucks. this is why hes asking 525, incase the person wants to negotiate.

the biggest difference is that there is no zero-notch. for the old 1200s, there is a notch in the pitch rheostat when you get to zero. this means that beatmatching close to zero is a pain in the ass because it falls into the notch. the newer model reomves the notch so its a smooth action rheostat throughout the entire length.
im always wary about buying used turntables. they are simple in design but it depends on how they were cared for. main things that can go wrong:
1) gimbal or tonearm can be bent from moving to a gig carelessly
2) dust or beer, liquids and general crap can be in the pitch rheostat
3) excessive use of the rheostat which has damaged the contacts.
always test it throroughly before buying. if the seller wont let you hook it up and mix for 10 minutes and check them out is hiding something and paying any amount is way too much.
