Tópico: Thinking of using VDJ? You will need .......

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hello to all professional users, beginners, and soon to be beginners.

Thought this post would be a nice way to help / give heads-up to people using or thinking of using VDJ.

Please join in and list a couple of the things/programs that have become must-haves for you in the use of VDJ .

THINGS YOU WILL NEED.

1. Inordinate amount of Free time (in my opinion, the most important)
2. An understanding spouse / girlfriend / boyfriend (this can be a topic all in itself. lol)
3. A good sound card e.g Maya 44 (in my opinion, good entry level card), Audio 8 DJ (professional grade card)
4. Program: Audio Ripping tool e.g. Audiograbber.
5. Program: Video Ripping tool e.g. Imtoo DVD ripper

6. Program: Batch MP3 Tagging tool e.g. Tag & Rename

7. a monstrously huge amount of caffiene (the wonder drug!) for all the time you're going to spend on those marathon mixing sessions you'll record at home with the headphones on... and then discover you can't fit it on a cd (dvd sometimes!) cause you got carried away...

I no longer spend inordinate amounts of time ripping /compressing video. I wish I had the time back I spent doing both when drive space was more costly. I do however still spend inordinate amounts of time editing video, everything from long useless intros, "talk breaks" that send the dancers running, and deficient audio tracks. I could not function without Sony Vegas which only comes in second to lip gloss.

PS: I have a very understanding GIRLFRIEND, do the math :^)

I use CCleaner also. Great program for a freebie ;)
