I kept losing info with rev. 5.7. So once again I am in the process
of rebuilding my database (5th time).
So I am starting with ver 3.4. However after I analyze the
tracks and scan, when I check the BPM's are gone again. Like they
were never analyzed. Anyone have ideas of why the tracks won't
stay analyzed?
I want to get this rebuilt so I can try again rev 5.07.

Myself and a friend of mine (garybr) have had a similar problem - I gave up and went back to version 4, Gary's system seems a little tempramental (sp?) - thought he had it sorted at one point, thinking it was an issue with access settings in Windows, then it started doing it again. Random tracks would start losing their bpms, in no particular pattern. It's a problem that's been mentioned a few times on the board, but as yet there doesn't appear to be a definitive answer....

I reverted from 5.0.7 to 5.0.6 due to MK2 problems and other minor issues, and I had to re-add all my tracks to the search DB during a gig--whoops! I should've known better, but I make mistakes, too. When I did the add, the BPMs and all other info came back.

Why don't you just stay on rev6, if this keeps happening to you on rev7?
I would, makes life easy.

Actually 3.4 has been the most stable, but I am trying to get everything up to the latest version,
or at least updated from 3.4.
So once again I am starting from 3.4 and rebuilding from there.
The problem is in 3.4 at the moment. I analyze some tracks, if BPM is out of whack I correct it.
When a batch is completed I scan and bingo some tracks are missing the info again.
So far the only way around it (That I found) is to keep shutting down VDJ and then re opening
it again. That seems to be the only way I can be sure everything stays. I was hoping for
another way.
Thanks guys.

Thanks. So far by closing VDJ every so often the BPM's are staying.
Once I get this completed, then the project of updating without
losing them again.
