I would say your amp is a little on the anemic side. It is only capable of giving you 450w, clean with no distortion, at 4 ohm, so anything over that, will start to distort. Your amp is incapable of delivering the maximum continuous load. I don't trust the specs on the Peavy. However, even on the JBL, it can handle 500w continuous, at 4 ohm. If it were me, and I had to use this amp, I would get smaller speakers.
For these speakers, I would want an amp that was at least capable of 750w to 1000w at 4 ohms. This way you could pump 500 continuous, and handle any peaks, without any distortion, which kills speakers. There are always peaks.

Yes, you can use this amp, You just have to be aware that you do not have any head room with the amp. You can safely push 450w at 4ohm, with no or very little distortion. Anything over that, and you start the distortion demon. This is a great company and they typically rate their amps a little low. The amp will go higher, it just won't be clean. You just can't push the speakers to their full potential. I did not mean to scare you, just provide you with some knowledge. I learned this the hard way. It's distortion that fries speakers.
Any of the QSC PLX or RMX series amps that have a 750w or greater at 4ohm rating.

If staying with QSC, get a Powerlite 4.0. That should do it.

JBL is loud, but sounds terrible. Haven't heard Peavey yet, but really: don't go for JBL :/
