Hi,
I've got a problem with the time code vinyl control. I can't configurate the
time code vinyl signal because it alwasy says "no time code signal found" or
"error in the asio sound driver". Has anyone got any idea what I can do?
Cheers,
Flo

I have the exact same problem. Here's my setup.
VDJ Pro 5.07
MacBook (not Pro) 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM
Mac OSX 10.5.2
Hercules DJ Console MK2
Technics 1200MK2 w/ some or other Audio Technica diamond cartridge/stylus
Time Coded Vinyl that I just bought from your website
I get the exact same errors when I try to configure the Time Code Settings.
When I run the same setup on my PC running Windows XP and VDJ 5.06, it works fine, albeit I have to invert the phase or else it plays backwards.

What soundcard are you using? Currently I think only the virtual vynil is the only one that works good with Mac.

To those with the problem, skyfxl (the moderator) has a nice walk through in his profile on how to set up an aggregate device in your Audio/Midi settings. This helps set up your card in VDJ if you have a multi in and out card. Unfortunately, by the sound of your descriptions, you all are having the same problem most of us are with timecode. Without the Virtual Vinyl sound card, timecode in most cases doesn't work, or is very problematic. The ASIO error message seems to be the tell of it just not working. ASIO is a Windows sound driver that Mac doesn't use. Someone from VDJ will be here shortly to tell you they're working on it. Your patience will be tested because I've been waiting for 4 months.

Somehow I have a feeling that this is on the teams top list because the Mac version issues need to be addressed if VDJ is going to compete with the competition. I am waiting patiently too for the next update.
Hopefully I won't need to buy a TTM57 to do video. Getting a Mac Book Pro has completely rendered me broke.

I'm with you on the TTM57, Mantahoe. Like you, I thought the issues would have been on the top of VDJ's list. But when version 5.07 was released, it didn't address it. It seems the complaints have increased since then, though. Keeping my fingers crossed for it to be fixed soon.

flatline

Do you have your input sliders set to line in or phono?
If its a flat line no signal is reaching your VV box have you connected to the pass trough inputs by mistake?
Do you have any other carts you could try?

Could u play TCCD too? Try with any cd player. See if there is a signal. Set it to line for testing with TCCD.

Ok. Thanks for trying, now we can really assume that timecode signal did not go through.
Can u comfirm that u did connect to line input rather than pass input?
Could u post a screenshot here on how ur connection settings on the VV box. If will give us a better view on the problem.
Regards.
