Tópico: Can't hear the sampler in VDJ

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Tonight I went to play the siren in the sampler and saw it playing but could not hear it. I went into the config. page to the sound card settings and if I select external 2 chanel mixer or any other selection other than the 3 chanel mixer, I can hear the sampler. The problem is that when one of those selection is selected, I don't have stereo sound or the right deck is heard only on the left deck along with the left deck. In previous versions the sampler played just fine. I'm using a AG Gigaport USB sound card and have outputs 1&2 going to the left input of my Rane mp2 and ouytputs 3&4 going to the right. I have the Gigaport selected as my sound card in the config. window and the output set to 3 line mixer. The next box I have the 6.1 output selected. This setting gives me stereo for both left and right decks the way they should be. I tried all the different setting, but can't get the sampler to play while keeping the two decks where they belong in stereo. As I said, this problem wasn't poresent in previous versions. Anyone have a solution?

Hi,
i had the same problem , i also use the Gigaport going to an external mixer .
How i got mine fixed ,
In Sound Conf. Select,
Input.... None
Output...External Mixer
Soundcard..... 4.1 card

Select Primary Sound Driver
Output Channels....Left Deck , Front Output/ Right Deck , Rear Output

I tried those setting but either the right deck can only be heard on the left deck or everything is where it should be (including the sampler) except that I no longer have stereo sound. The left channel comes out of the left speaker and the right comes out of the right speaker.

Gentlemen, you will need a three channel mixer to get the sample to come out of the third channel. I have the Gigaport AG, and have it set this way; Inputs-None, Outputs-3 Lines mixer, Sound cards-6.1. Sound card GIGAPort AG. Output channels: 1&2 Left deck, 3&4 Right deck, 5&6 samples/preview. This way, your samples have there own channel, and you can control the volume, just like your music. If you only have a 2 channel mixer, the samples have to come through one of your other channels. I think it will come through the one not playing at the time, but you have to have the volume up on that channel. If both channels are playing, I think it will come through both, at the volume your music is playing.
