hi guys is there a controller that has a built in qwerty keyboard or one that can scoll the alphabet to enable searching for songs ?

I see no point of QWERTY keyboard on a controller, you have keyboard on a PC already? Meaning of having controller is to not use keyboard, just for searching tracks.
 
ok how do you search for a title of a song with a controller in the search title bar if you dont use a keyboard if you dont know where
a song is e: g : im in the search bar how do i put in song title <kiss> without using a keyboard and only using a controller?
 
computers have keyboards. What are you missing here? You used a keyboard to type the message on this forum. Type it on the keyboard that your computer has. Do you use a laptop? Those keys on the flat bottom part when the screen is up and on is the keyboard and generally used for such things as you are asking.

Using a tower or PC? Windows can't boot up without a keyboard attached.

The software at this time is for computers only. There may be something in the future where a controller may have VDJ on it and something of the sort may be in order.
 
Now i think i no what the problem is you guyes want to stay in the dark ages well if you see the reason behind the request for a way of typing
in names on the search engine without a keyboard check out <Tricerasoft swift elite> there is a software keyboard and you dont have to touch
a normall qwerty keyboard after you have booted up much better than moving beetween a controller and keyboard senario . so perhaps my question should be aimed at the dev team can we have a keyboard overlay for typing in our songs . then we dont have to swich between
keyboard and controller . no i dont use a lap top . just imagine it we would then have totall controll over VDJ from a single controller Now wouldant that be a better way to go!!!!!!!!!
p.s buy the way VDJ is still the best dj program on the planet i just wanted some feed back and mabe you now no what we are missing here!!!!

It is a good idea, I agree, but there is no such controller, might be wrong, I hope :)

Ade: I see what you are saying. I just know that it is much easier to type on a real keyboard instead of scrolling through a software qwerty board. Like I said..great idea if the controller holds the software and everything self contained. Then you would need something like that. Right now however all computers have keyboards therefor it does not seem like something of priority to Dev.


Cool thoughts though.
 
 
Good Call Diamond G Looks like a great keyboard to replace my old one can also use it for video editing fantastic!!!!!!!!
