My current computer only has regular USB plugs when I need USB 2 plugs to make my equipment play right, so I figured instead of getting USB 2 plugs for my PC, I'd just go buy a new laptop, since I could go buy a case also and fit all my equipment inside it for easy carrying. The large desktop prevents me from doing that.
My Equipment:
2 Numark ICDX's
1 Numark DM1090X
1 Virtual Vinyl Sound Card
Basically, I need to know what I would need in a laptop in order to use my equipment, or the specs. I already know I need 3 or more USB 2 plugs, but I want to make sure I get one that's powerful enough to work with my equipment. Any suggestions?

If you're going to spend the money on a new Laptop, I highly recommend:
1. Purchasing a complete version of VDJ to decrease propensity of problems.
2. Do a search here in the forum using key words (e.g., recommend laptop, Toshiba, etc)
3. Look at what VDJ recommends in this link (bottom of page):

Go with a thinkpad maybe...they are great machines but lenovo has sketch customer service at times. Durable...they are great for carrying around and have technologies such as an LCD roll cage...spill proof keypad...magnesium alloy lid...etc. Literally you can stand on them or drop them from arms distance to the ground and they won't break. They have a lot of power...plenty for VDJ and if you need a high end graphic card you can get one of those as well.
Besides that i'm a fan of toshiba's and the XPS line and vostro line of Dell's...but thinkpads are my favorite.
