2 very simple questions.

what is the AVERAGE life span on a set of VDJ/Numark time codes? KEY WORD "Average" say for a heavy scratch DJ?

and AVERAGE life span on a decent cartridge and needle?

Idealy you would want Digitrack Concordes , depending on your usage 6-12 months on both.

Maybe purchase your self a backup pair at the same time , VV replacements can be picked up at any Numark stockist.
 
How do you know when a timecode needs replacement? what does it do? same with needle

There will be clear signs of damage and the signal quality will drop.
