I think you can:
Features
- USB MIDI Controller with Sound Card (PC)

- Internal 40gb Hard Drive

- External USB Device Support

- High Speed USB 2.0 Interface

- Current DN-D4500/DN-D4000 Owners can easily add a DN-HD2500

- International Keyboard Support

- Intuitive File Navigation System

- 4 Superb Built-in Effects

- 3 Platter Effects

But to be able to use it you will need native support in VDJ or mapper at least.

Can anyone tell me the pros and cons of the 2500.............and would you rather get the 4500 or the 2500?

If you don't already have a controller, you would be best getting the HC4500 - This is natively supported by VDJ and works well.

I'm not sure whether the HC2500 will work natively in VDJ. It should work as a general MIDI controller though, but you won't get lighted buttons, etc. Also, the display screen on the HC2500 cannot be accessed via MIDI, unlike the HC4500 which has text displays for each deck.

I got the DN HD2500 For two weeks now. I have been playing around with it, but could never get it to run with VDJ. I went thru all the steps, downloaded this and that..., but could never get it run. I was about to go back to samash and change it for the 4500 since it's supported by VDJ. I just got an email from Denon announcing both 2500 and 4500 being fully supported by Serato. When will VDJ give give HD2500 user that option????

Yes you can use it. But you have to reboot the 2500 in Midi mode to use it as a controller/soundcard.

Is there somewhere in this site a step by step instruction that 2500 user can follow. I am willing to give it one couple more try.
