I can't find my original posting on the setting for PAGE FILE settings. I guess it was listed in the original website before it was changed. Anyway, I would like to know the rule for setting the Page File amount. This is the last thing I would like to do optimize my system. I reset everything back to factory because of poor system performance issues due to system updates.

Page file should be set to 1 and a half times the amount of physical ram that you have in your system. So if you have 1 gig of RAM your page file would be roughly about 1.5 gig.

If you have a lot of ram memory you can disable page file, that's what I did (1,5Gb, audio use).

isn't it better to get more ram or get more memory on your graphics card than to increase the size of the paged area ??

Yes, but some programs depend on Page file and you can't disable it. VDJ is working good without Page file.

i read Sky's link .....apparently you should have at least a small page file on the C: , you can have page files on more than one drive , and it's better to page to a drive or partition w/ FAT32 .....
