Hi
You will need 2 stereo inputs sound card like Maya 44, Hercules MK2 Console, ESI U46DJ etc. You connect your cd players to line in and with Timecode cd you can control VDJ.
For video you will need good Video card with video output and you can send picture to the projector.
There is no hardware interface that comes with VDJ.
Take a look here:

Get the Numark Virtual Vinyl if u need a good interface to werk with the software.. or u can use the abovementioned cards if u already own VDJ:)

It's software is the same as VDJ but different branding;)

It consist of the software, 2 TCV, 2 TCCD n the audio interface.

Hope to see u with us soon.

Regards.

Hey ummm...i was wondering is there is any cheaper way of controlling VDJ and would the scrach live interface work with VDJ also?

Thanks

yes :)

The cheapest way of controlling VDJ I found is using the Behringer BCD2000 for $150 and BCD3000 for $200. They are exactly the same thing, only one more expensive than the other, realy. They have the audio interface and they control most important functions in VDJ. You can also set them to control any functions you want in VDJ if it does not already. The bad thing about them is the fact that they use USB 1 interface.
You need a fairly powerful computer with absolutely nothing conected to the USB ports while in use by VDJ. The problem is that the connection is lost in the middle of everything, but VDJ continues playing the music, and you have to get back in settings to select it again, which resets the audio engine and interrupts the song. So if you plan to use the Behringer hardware make sure you have a CD ready to play and switchto it before reseting the audio angine. Also, if you plan to use CD players to connect to the BCD, you need to get one line to phono converter. Here is the link to thecheapest one I found http://www.mcminone.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=MCMProducts&product%5Fid=50%2D7240

I hope this helps

Numark Virtual vinyl is like the serato package. Virtual vinyl is Numark Cue software pro version... same as virtual dj pro.. It comes with the Virtual vinyl soundcard designed for the program and both time coded cds and vinyls .. Simple, all in one package and takes out the guess work of what soundcard works best with it....

Thanks for the input i think i'm goin to go with vdj it seems really good ( i really like the video mixing part) but i had one last question and that is if any of these interfaces work with scratch live? i'm goin to but VDJ for the video mixing but i need another program as back up (you never know)
