so Im looking for a mixer to control vdj and also be able to use timecode whats the best and least expensive route to go?

Oh and what bout the bcd is that an asio card ? can I hook up time code to the 2000 or 3000?

You can go down the controller route such as the RMX or the midi mixer route such as the pioneer's.
Don't Know if you have seen it but Behringer has brought out This Midi mixer a few months ago, DDM4000. By the reports I've read about it, it's bang on. And for the price it's a bargin too. There is even a mapper for it now in the plugin section.

Please I beg of you in the name of all that is great and good in this world. Do not buy a BCD200, or BCD300 unit and intend to use it as a sound card! Both of these units have been less than they were promised to be. Berhinger admitted a bad chip set in the 2000. And Their "replacement", the 3000, is not doing any better.

Okay so a djm 700 or 800 will work? I have the 500 right now and have had it forever along with my cdjs and they are rock silid never failed me once

The 700 & 800 can be mapped by midi to control VDJ yes... ;)
A cheaper route is the Ecler ones.. Great mixers too. Evo 4, Evo5, Nuo4.
Heard nice things about the Korg Zero4 as well...
But I'm defo a Pioneer fan.. costs more, but lasts a lifetime
