Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

1st Question

1st off let me say VDJ Is a great program... never have any problems with it (2yrs.)...
untill last Saturday djing a wedding...

i just purchase the hc4500 updated to 1005 firmware and the plugin for it hooked it up (great...)

about 45mins. into the cocktail hour BAMM!!!! it starterd skipping (was in automix) tried to stop nothing...
load another song in side B nothing... controler was lock also... (was using the hc4500 soundcard)

final got it to stop shut dwn the putter unhook the controller went back to the laptop soundcard for the rest on the night...
worked fine.... also left the 4500 unpluged...

i had ultra latency checked was this the problem?

laptop specs:

dell 1525
core duo 1.83ghz
3.0gb ram

vista

2nd question

is there a way to make the rhythm window to not show up or a skin out there that does it...

its a pain to me
i don't use it but everytime i look at the screen i see it then my dumb ass starts trying to beatmix looking at it then guess what its a train weack!!! and most of the time the CBG are off and if not they will be by the end of the song!!!! (old school mp3s most of the time)

CBG are good with the newer stuff (90's and above)

im the type of person if something is not right i'll try to fix... (i'm crazy that way!!!)

i don't have the time to go thru all of my old school, slow songs or swing some rock mp3s and try to adjust the CBG...

Thanks for your time!!!

anybody gonna help me out?

I've not heard of anyone having this problem. As well as the firmware update, did you also update the ASIO drivers and USB driver too for the HC4500?

Ultra latency could have caused or contributed to your problem - The following is written in the VirtualDJ manual:
VDJ Manual wrote :

Ultra-latency ASIO – There are two ASIO engines available for VirtualDJ to provide better latency support. Checked is the original ASIO engine that is optimized for very low latency (renamed ultra-latency) and is still considered the default engine. Some computers have problems with this optimization. Unchecked is the NEW 'safer' performance level ASIO engine which has less optimization for environments that have difficulty with the Ultra-Latency engine.

Because you say this was last Saturday, I assume you were using VDJ v5.1 and the v1.1 mapper. A couple of users have experienced crashes when using automix with the v1.1 version, although thats mainly been under Windows XP. Please try with the latest versions of VDJ and and the mapper, but don't do this just before a gig. Test it at home for a few hours to check it's OK.

I think there are skins around that have this option (E.g: Some of DJ Format's skins.)

However, another method is to simply zoom out of the waveform sufficiently so that it becomes useless for visual beat matching. On the default skin, there's a small slider on the left-hand side that can be used to do this.

thanks...
i unchecked the ulta latency been testing for two days and no skipping...
