Esta parte del tópico es antigua y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Is there anyway to set up the RMX and VJD to allow for my main sound to come out of my speakers i have hooked up to my computer, and then what i want to cue using my headphones that are connected into my rmx? is this possible even?

check out the first twenty seconds or so of this and it should help...

ok it works for the headphones however i would still like to be able to hear the music from my PC. Any ideas?

EDIT: Ok i should rephrase what i'm asking so that it makes more sense. What i want to know is this, with this mixer can i play the "live" music from my computer and still be able to "preview" with my head phones that are connected to the mixer. I hope this helps

specter , back in a mo, just setting my stuff up, you haven't been left "home alone", lol.

No worries I just want to be sure I can get this all figured out because I want to make sure i have this set up correctly for broadcasting.

sorry about that never used the set up like this, now i haven't got any headphones here either, lol. but everything should be ok for what i am running this set up as, ok try this if you would, after you have connected everything up start vdj (this is default full video skin) go to config

Inputs > None,

Outputs > Single Output

Sound Cards > Simple

Sound Card > Choose your units normal sound card

You should have full sound control on the rmx as well as your headphone facility, dont forget to adjust your monitor and volume H/P controls to the left of your top right headphone socket. hope that helps.

Well when i do it like that the output is working from my computer but still nothing from the head phones :\

not reading this right sorry, go to config > sound set up > outputs > head phones > sound card > should show rmx icon take lead from 1+2 output or 1/4 jack socket to speakers, that should be ok now.

Unfortunately that didn't do it either...looks like i'm going to have to pick up some studio speakers and just hook it up directly :(

sorry mate but without any use of headphones here i can't do anymore, just hope someone else can jump in with a solution, just one more dumb question from me, you did adjust your headphone and monitor controls. (just above your right pitch reset). also have you all the latest drivers and which version are you using of vdj.

hehe, that was more than one.

yeah i made sure the headphones volume was up, and i'm using VDJ 5.02

I had the same problem. I wanted to use my desktop's speakers and cue on the rmx. Didn't work, but i have a 4.1 sound card so i just hook both speaker and headphones into my sound card.

specter, do you mean 5.2 ? or 5.02 as you need a minimum of 5.1 for the rmx to work properly

For all who want to conect the computer speakers with the RMX , buy a cable to fix the computer speaker in the inputs from the RMX controller , and use prelistening with the headphone input from the controller , so easy !!!
PS: It isnt expensive , i Payed 10 Euro for a 1 m Cable and all quind of adapters.

5.2

and thanks i'll take a look into that right now the speakers i have connected to my computer are the Logitech z5300 (they pound like you wouldn't believe), i think what ill have to try to find is some kind of adapter from that output to rca or 1/4 inch

make sure its a 1/8 inch stereo to 1/4 in mono adapter....or you can use 1/8 inch stereo to rca adapter

thank you for all the help :)

if you had read this half way down the post you may have saved yourself a couple of days...

"not reading this right sorry, go to config > sound set up > outputs > head phones > sound card > should show rmx icon take lead from 1+2 output or 1/4 jack socket to speakers, that should be ok now."
