I just paid for the Fraps software, but can't get it to work. I open up virtual vinyl start my music video press the hot key and nothing is recorded do I need a 2nd monitor or something enabled. I don't know about this stuff... somebody help me please!!!

haven't used fraps in a while... however

the hot key in fraps should automatically start recording.
This you have done.... and no luck.. .strange... make sure that you hot key is not set in vdj as a function. Try Changing the hot key to something else and see what happens

Make sure u look around in fraps setup before u begin.. that options are all selected for video capturing etc. should be pretty straightforward too.

Tested fraps... did not like the quality of the capture.. still had some jerky captue at times
.. settled for a DVD recorder instead......

heard from a friend that the ARCHOS works wonderful for him
 
jay why dont you just record vdj directly
 
You need to make sure you open Fraps before you open VDJ. Then press the hot key to begin recording.
 
Is fraps really that bad with the recording? I heard the problem with dvd recording is that you have to be almost perfect with your mixing, but I'm pretty sure you can fix stuff after it's on the dvd with a video editing software. Let me know what you use for your video recording set-up.
