There is a bug, but you can work around it. You have VDJ set to maximize,, meaning you can not move it around, filling up the screen. Move your mouse to the top, and if it does not turn into a 4 way arrow thing, you are set to maximize. Click the maximize tab (next to the close tab), and now you should get the 4 way arrow, meaning you can move the VDJ skin around the screen. You can now minimize and bring it back without any problems. I hope I explained it so you can understand it.

Thanks for another possible solution! Gotta give that a try.
I tend to NOT do anything but play VDj when performing in order to eliminate glitching the performance.
I've had hit and miss success attempting to minimize VDj and then do something else on the machine.
It seems that when you extend the screen to "dual" you impact the computer's ability to work correctly (stabily) on the main screen.
And then other times it fine.

I am just the opposite, I try to do as many things as possible on my machine. However, I am using a desktop. I go on line, rip, transfer from thumb drives, run as many effects as will look good, even virus scan. I have been doing this since 4.3, and am on my third machine. So, let me just say again, it is not the software, but the machine that runs it. What, am I the only one they sent the stable version to? Yeah, there have been many bugs, but none of them have been showstoppers for me, and they are usually fixed in a timely manner. I also know that there are some time code issues for some, but not for others, so go figure.

I just had the same thing happen to me and traced it to a driver I installed.I would minimize VDJ and then try to open another application and the curser would jump to the center of the monitor and nothing happens.I stepped back to a restore point I had and all is well now.
I believe it might have been a Sony driver for my camcorder or I had updated my firmware for my Total Control. Not sure which caused it.
