Is it possible to get VDJ 5.2 operating with four decks, and is then possible to connect two external controller units?
I have a Numark DMC2 external controller for VDJ. In addition I have a Pioneer MEP-7000 controller unit with two CD-players for backup. However, it would be great to connect the MEP-7000 controller unit to VDJ as an extra controller - in addition to the Numark DMC2 - so that a total of four decks can be operated at the same time.
In case this is not possible at the moment, I would like to suggest to the VDJ-team to include these functions in future releases, thanks.

You should be able to run multi-instance, so one controller and sound card controls each instance...

I have successfully ran multi-instances of VDJ with controllers.
To do this you must have 2 Different controllers (which you do)
and 2 different 4.1 soundcards, and lastly a 4 channel mixer.
1) Open VDj with a multi-instance skin (Download section-usually for pro users only) DO NOT activate any controller on any instance yet.
2) Open Config and assign your first instance to 4.1 soundcard - external mixer.
3) Activate you chosen Controller (I used a NUMARK DMC2)
4) Test sound and controller on instance #1
5) Repeat step 2 in the second instance
6) Activate your second Controller (I used a PCDJ DAC2)
7) Test sound and controller.
It's a little confusing with Multi-instance skins because they are so busy but after you get used to it all works out fine. you can have 4 decks with 2 controllers.
Make sure that your soundcards and controllers for each instance are different; otherwise you will have sound conflicts and controller conflicts. If all are the same then you will be activating both #1 decks at the same time and both soundcards will cancell each other out resulting in pops crackles, white noise, and other issues.
The best skin for Mulit-instancing that I've used was the one created by DJ CEL of the corporate staff. But it was created for v3.4 and has not been updated since.
The real limitation for this sort of thing is the skins, they are privately made and quite difficult, so there would either have to be a paying customer or high demand for the skin-makers out there to put one together.
Good luck
