Hello All,
Well, basically I am looking for a Powerhouse Desktop that would be able to be mobile. I have been using a Macbook Pro 2.0 Gig, 2 Gig memory, to try to DJ with Virtual DJ. After the mac TCCD issues,
I then installed bootcamp for XP Pro. XP Pro works like a dream with the Intel Boards, but I could not for the life of me get the Video out to work, and i have all kinds of cables coming off if from the
External Hard Drive, VV Soundcard, XSession Pro Midi Controller, VGA to SVideo/Component adapter... etc.
Ideally, I want to clean up my setup, and Laptops are getting a touch out of my budget, So I was wondering if anyone could recommend a powerhouse desktop, that would be small and Portable, but still be
fast enough for Virtual DJ software. I guess I would be looking for a system with Dual 500 Gig HD, Core 2 Duo Processor, 4 gig memory, 512 Mb Video Card at least, Firewire 400/800/USB 2.0, and eSata hookups.
I figure with a lightweight keyboard/mouse, and a small 15 flat panel Monitor, I could make this system mobile, and still be under budget from what I have seen some laptops with the same specs go for. I am
Looking to keep my budget around $1000(without Monitor). Anyone see /use a system I mentioned above?
Thanks
Nic

Usually a "powerhouse" does not translate to portable. with todays technology though, there are lots of options out there.
Since your a Mac guy maybe a MiniMac or Imac 20''...
HP has a "slimline" you can customize-

I think it fits your needs and pice range.

don't go for acer.. too much problem overall with em. If you want a stable system that fits in your setup, what do you think of an rackmount pc? Thinking of building my own when I get some cash.... Intel systems are the most stable I've been using, but always had amd myself. This time I will go for full intel setup :)
