for PRODUCING your own music i highly recomend you Ableton Live, i use this to make some beats and grooves.
is almost unlimited i think, you can get as far as your creativity does.
for DJ mixing is way too different to another softwares like virtual dj, VDJ is easier because is like the traditional way of mixing
ableton live DJ mixing is a different method and hard to understand if you've been used to do it the other way.

So pretty much use Ableton Live for making your own beats???
Is it better and easier then Fruit Loops or what ever it's called???
And for DJing do you think this is the right way to go and get this:http://www.hercules.com/us/DJ-Music/bdd/p/69/mobile-dj-mp3-black-/
Or just get a turn table???

I use fruity loops, protools, cubase, sony acid n sony soundforge for making beats, production n editing.
I heard good things abt ableton live but have not tried that.
I would not recommend using mobile dj mp3, its better if u use the rmx or mk2 if u want to use herc products. This way too will give u the djc edition that came with the product. There are other controller out there in the market.
Getting a turntable is good and u will need to have VDJ pro to utilized them for timescodes n vinyl fully.
Hope to see u with us soon;)
