Hi all.
Just a quick post. Did a wedding gig last night, or should I say most of yesterday!
After the ceremony at 3.30pm Sat, I started to use VDJ for the background music when people were leaving and the room was being rearranged for the reception. This was at about 4pm.
Well from 4pm ALL the way through to 12am, I was using VDJ (also normal cd's), but VDJ did not skip a beat once! I must say I was a little nervous as this is the first time I have ever done a gig that comprised 90% of using a laptop and software (I'm from the old skool of Turntable, then just cd's).
I had previous put VDJ through it's paces at home, but there is nothing like getting through a "live" gig to boost your confidence in a piece of software.
My only comment is the auto gain thing that VDJ still catches me out a bit, especially because i use an external mixer to adjust these and when you load a song into the decks it removes it from the playlist and if I change my mind I need to find it again (is this a setting I am missing?), but all in all, with the Torq controller and latest version of VDJ I can honestly say... well done to VDJ!
Thanks
Jon
