Tópico: Napster or not?

Este tópico es antiguo y puede contener información incorrecta para la nueva versión.

Hi

Just getting into the dj and karaoke business and was looking for a few pointers as regarding music. I don't want to be one of those f**king cheap scates that copy there music illigally to make a quick buck. I want to run the whole business legite. I already have a PRS licence and ProDub Licence but i am looking to build my music collection without it costing me a fortune (bit contradicting i know but at least i want to pay for my music).

I have looked at Napster and you can download music on a subscription basis which i think is really good vaule. There terms and conditions do so not for commicial use though. I am going to contact Napster to see if they do a commicial style subscription but can anyone recommend a subscription based site to download music for commicial use.

Or do i just need to spend thousands on buying cd's or downloads?

Any advice or tips very much appricated, Will let you know if i get any joy from Napster on a commicial subscription.

I have been usin Napster for years.

I have a Napster subscription too, I don't use ot very much now though, not when I did, I didn't have any problem with it.

It's actually a quite good service

I dont pay for a service but I do use it to purchase and download songs. Works well for me.

Even the so-called DJ services outline in their TOC that the material is for your own personal use and not for commercial usage. Music CDs you buy from a shop will even say the same thing =/

So yes, even doing things leagally is well, illeagal. :O

You would of though someone would set a company that only dj's can download and play music legally lol
