Tópico: VDJ taking up allot of CPU at idle..

Hi,

got a nasty problem. My VDJ is taking up allot of CPU when it's idling (from start to end)..

In the task manager it say's about 70-80%.. It never has been like this before, what's wrong?

Have u installed any software lately?
 
Nope.. don't got any cracked or spyware'ed programs here... And everything else is doing good... Only VDJ that has this issue. I've tried to uninstall and install again, but same problem...
 
What is ur system spec n what OS are u using?
 
win xp, all latest update

3ghz CPU
1GB RAM (should have some more, but this is not the issue now)
radeon x1650 pro
audigy 2 soundcard + internal 5.1
...


the wierd thing is that it's only vdj acting strange... like it's scanning songs without actually doing it.... no other programs
 
Do u have norton install? if so uninstall it n use avg instead. Also what skin do u use? Can u try to use the default and see if it act the same.
 

Maybe you have a conflict somewhere on you system, that's causing the high CPU usage

 
There could also be apps running in the background you cant see. Try CTL/ALT/DELETE )Task Manager) and click on processes. I only have @ 40 running on both my desktop and lappy....
 
No offence, but I got good knowlegde of computers :)

All other processes and services are running normal. It's just VirtualDJ.exe that's going bananas...

I'm using the new standard skin that comes along from ver. 5.1 and I've tried to change that aswell, no luck here either.

As I've said before I've also has tried to resinstall without succsess. Tried to restore the factory defaults --> fail.. I can't figure this out..... next step would be to format my computer and reinstall windows..... AWWW I hate this!!

Before u gonna reinstalled... can u answer me this. Sometime different skin can have that effect as i remember.. only trying to help;)

I will try some other skins and test various things, and I'll get back at you
 
haha,..yeah try to find the problem n only at the last resort a reinstalled is ok;)
